To enhance Africa’s capacity for drug discovery, development & deployment and to
harness the power of genomics for improved health in Africa.
Objectives
- To build capacity for bioanalytics, genomics, bioinformatics and pharmacometrics
to support translational science at selected Centers of Excellence (CoE) in Africa
through establishing advanced technology platforms and training highly skilled
scientists. - To harness Africa’s genomic diversity in health research and innovation for drugs,
vaccines, diagnostics and medical devices. - To expand the clinical application of pharmacogenomics through these CoE.
